Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to manage the Survey and Right of Way (ROW) sections of the Olympic Region (OR) Plans & Design Support Office, as well as provide independent direction and supervision to survey personnel performing advanced engineering work in the collection and analysis of ROW control, monumentation, property boundaries, and other related issues. This position provides expert advice on surveying issues and contributes to the office's mission by providing oversight of all ROW plan modification processes, which allow ROW acquisitions to occur, and makes possible the delivery of OR projects. This position supports the agency's mission by ensuring that OR personnel follow departmental policies and State laws governing land surveying and survey monument protection while helping to deliver safe, reliable, and cost­ effective transportation projects. The position also supports the strategic plan by providing staff a workplace that supports and promotes training and development for professional growth and upward mobility, in addition to fostering a physically and psychologically safe workplace where all employees feel that they belong.
