Electronics Engineering Manager

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to fill a vacancy located in Tumwater, WA. Reporting to the ITS Communications & Wireless Technology Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the ITS Communications Engineering staff, wireless project development, coordination, and oversight, of the 140 remote radios sites and over 600 intelligent transportation system locations statewide. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the 750 Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licenses managed by the WSDOT to ensure the legal operation of the wireless programs and systems. The Electronic Engineering Manager will also review project scope, scheduling, and budgets to ensure the overall statewide wireless communications systems are meeting the needs of the agency. The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills at this position will interact with ITS Communications & Wireless Technology co-workers, Regional wireless staff, Transportation Operations, TEF, Facility Managers, Bridge Preservation office, Department of Enterprise Services, and Real Estate Services.
