CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Plans and scopes and estimates mechanical, electrical and plumbing system upgrades.

  • Reviews design submissions for upgrades to campus mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

  • Coordinates provision of campus engineering information for capital projects and outside entities.

  • Reviews energy saving measures.

  • Coordinates update of mechanical electrical and plumbing equipment inventory.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Health Plan Coverage for Employees Hired on or after October 1, 2022 City of New York employees and employees of Participating Employers and their eligible dependents hired on or after October 1, 2022 will only be eligible to enroll in the EmblemHealth HIP HMO Preferred Plan and must remain in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan for the first year (365 days) of employment.

After 365 days of employment, the employee will have the option of either remaining in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan or selecting a different health plan within 30 days before the end of the 365th day period.

If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day.

Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period. An employee who needs to request an exemption from the required enrollment in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan can do so by submitting a HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form to EmblemHealth. An employee, or eligible dependent, must meet certain criteria and the request must be approved by EmblemHealth before the exemption is granted. The HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form and HIP service area are available on the EmblemHealth website.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A baccalaureate degree in engineering from an accredited college and four years of full-time experience in professional engineering work in the required field; and

  2. A valid New York State Professional Engineer's license; OR

  3. Education and/or experience equivalent to 1 above. However, all candidates must possess a valid NYS Professional Engineer's license.

  4. In addition, the candidates are required to have one year of project management experience for assignment Level II and two years of project management experience for Level III. Graduate degree in Public Administration/Business Administration from an accredited college may be substituted for one year of project management experience for Level III on the basis of 48 credits for one year of experience.

COMPENSATION

New hire rate: $88,427

Incumbent rate: $99,920

*This amount reflects a 13% salary suppression in effect for the first 24 months of employment only.
