Qualifications for this Civil Engineer opportunity include:

- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of transportation experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) in California required
- Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft products
- Ability to design, lead and manage site preparation, paving and site improvements, provision of access roads, curbs, gutters, guardrails, retaining walls, road striping and signage
- Technical Knowledge/Proficiency required with the following:
* American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO)        * Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets, The Green Book, 2018,    7th Edition
* American Concrete Institute (ACI) Manual of Concrete Practice, 2019 Edition
* American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Seismic Design Manual, 3rd Edition, January 2020
* County of San Diego: Facilities Design Guidelines and Standards
* Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), 11th Edition, 2020
* San Diego County Hydrology Manual (SDHM), June 2000
* CALTRANS roadway design requirements
* NAVFAC roadway design requirements

Salary: $100,000 - $200,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
