Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking an experienced Transportation Planning Specialist 4 to take on the highly essential role of Fish Passage Delivery Continuous Improvement Specialist. This position must effectively interface with a highly diverse group of internal programs and teams, key delivery partners, government agencies, and communities to conduct critical Program-level evaluations, analysis, and plans to lead and facilitate the continuous improvement of multiple technical disciplines and program areas that comprise WSDOT’s multi-billion-dollar statewide Fish Passage Barrier Correction Program. The Fish Passage Delivery Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for facilitating and implementing program-level critical continuous improvement efforts ensuring the effectiveness of large-scale process engineering projects from the vetting of project proposals through implementation of solutions. Major outcomes include producing standard ways of doing work that are measurably faster, produce fewer errors with less variability, and at a lower cost.
