Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to serve as the Toll Performance Engineer in Seattle, WA. The Toll Performance Engineer position designs and implements important data monitoring solutions necessary for troubleshooting and optimizing an efficient tolling system. It is responsible for federally required performance reporting, as well as the ad hoc examination of roadside toll collection systems and back-office transaction processing. Additionally, this position shares in the team’s operational responsibilities to guide new project development, coordinate with WSDOT’s roadside and back-office vendors, and manage high-priority operational issues. The position requires good judgment, and depending on the availability of supervisor authority, the responsibility to make critical toll and safety decisions.
