MESO Solutions is a Sydney based company specialising in temporary and permanent in-ground works. We design and install steel shoring, basement walls, ground dewatering and foundation solutions for the construction industry.

As we continue to expand an opportunity exists within our team for a capable, self-motivated Engineer who will play a part in the future growth & innovation of the business.
Given the work we design and undertake, the ideal candidate will be proficient in geotechnical engineering while being exposed to structural design. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the fundamentals of soil mechanics and numerical modelling. He or she will also have an appreciation with experience related to earth retaining structures/shoring system.

  • Have strong English verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong design experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Have at least 5 years of practical design experience using geotechnical design/analysis software packages such as Plaxis,Wallap and Rocscience, and have a good knowledge of pile design.
  • Ability to prepare quality design reports and drawings.
  • Having structural design knowledge as well as drafting skills using Revit is highly regarded.
  • Registration with Fair-Trading NSW under the BDPA Act(desirable but not necessary)
 
Duties:
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties, not limited to:
  • Able to Interpret Architectural plans, Structural plans, site survey plans and geotechnical reports to understand and convey the risks of that pertain to any particular job.
  • Assess the most appropriate approach to subject projects, balancing efficiency, economy and risk.
  • Utilise engineering modelling and drafting programmes.
  • Produce properly documented designs.
  • Provide engineering oversight for the works.
  • Participate in Research and Development with other members of the Company.
  • Develop relationships with engineering (structural and geotechnical) firms.
Remuneration
This is a permanent full-time position. Attractive remuneration will be offered, depending on capability and experience, and will be adjusted in line with growth in knowledge, experience and value to the Company.
