Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to serve as the Lead Lane Engineer in Seattle, WA. This position is critical in fostering a respectful and healthy work environment with focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. The position supports WSDOT’s mission of providing a cost-effective transportation system using innovative toll collection methods and technologies. Under supervision of the Supervising Operations Engineer, this position is responsible for day-to-day operations and oversight of roadside toll collection systems. This includes but is not limited to field equipment inspection, data analysis, representing the Toll Division and operations team for internal and external meetings, etc. The position requires good judgement, and depending on the availability of supervisor authority, the responsibility to make critical toll and safety decisions.
