Crane Currency is looking to fill a Controls Engineer job at the Nashua, NH facility.

The selected person will lead and participate in a wide variety of advanced skilled duties for preventative and corrective maintenance involved in the installation, maintenance, repair, programming and servicing of electronic systems, equipment, devices, and machinery.

The Controls Engineer is responsible for: 

• Learning the manufacturing process and its equipment to fully understand equipment functionality needs.
• Support manufacturing equipment needs in both a proactive and reactive function with the main objective of minimizing machine downtime.
• Support Engineering team with new equipment installation.
• Support Process Engineering with equipment qualifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance program tasks with production and engineering.
• Inspect sensory and monitoring equipment to ensure all systems are working properly.
• Work with internal engineering team and outside consultants to upgrade monitoring systems or develop new programs and equipment when needed.
• Perform program backups and maintain spares for Crane Nashua OT

Qualifications:

• AS Degree or greater; and certification or advanced training with 8+ years of experience in related field
• Understanding of controls architecture including PLC, HMI, Drive Controllers, and communication software. 3-5 years of PLC programming experience is preferred. 
• AutoCad/Solidworks experience
• Experience and ability to program Rs Logix.
• Ability to read and modify electrical prints, and ability to keep neat and accurate records, following written and verbal instructions.
