Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager specializing in Hydrogeological and/or Environmental projects. As a key member of our client's team, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a diverse range of projects related to groundwater assessment, environmental impact assessments, and remediation planning.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage hydrogeological and environmental projects from conception to completion, ensuring successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
2. Conduct site assessments, collect and analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports on groundwater quality, hydrological modeling, and environmental conditions.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, engineers, and regulatory experts, to ensure project objectives are met and regulatory compliance is maintained.
4. Develop and implement innovative strategies for groundwater monitoring and remediation projects, applying the latest industry best practices and technologies.
5. Liaise with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to provide expert advice, address concerns, and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Oversee fieldwork activities, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and maintaining the highest standard of environmental stewardship.
7. Monitor project budgets and resource allocation, identifying potential risks or opportunities and proposing appropriate corrective actions.
8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in hydrogeological and environmental sciences, actively participating in professional development opportunities and sharing knowledge with the team.
9. Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations, to support the growth of the company's hydrogeological and environmental portfolio.

Project Manager Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (8+ years) in managing hydrogeological and environmental projects, ideally in the consulting industry.
3. Strong knowledge of groundwater modeling, environmental regulations, and industry guidelines.
4. Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
5. Proficiency in data analysis and software tools commonly used in hydrogeological and environmental assessments.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders effectively.
7. Professional certifications (e.g., P.Geo, P.Eng) and knowledge of Canadian environmental regulations will be considered advantageous.
