Inoac Exterior Systems located in Fremont, Ohio is searching for Manufacturing Engineers to join our team.

The Manufacturing Engineer designs, builds, maintains and improves processes, machines and tools within the plant to ensure a safe, efficient and productive operation for all assigned manufacturing processes.

The Manufacturing Engineer will work with Production, Engineering and Quality to ensure continuous improvement as well as supporting new program launches, equipment, and machinery and technology changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all assigned manufacturing processes, ensure a reliable and repeatable process, a safe environment, a quality product and an efficient plant
• Lead process improvements for safety, quality, reliability, cost and moral
• Explore shop floor and identify needed process improvements in terms of cycle time reduction, labour utilization, ergonomic requirements and equipment uptime
• Recommend and implement design changes to current work cell, tooling and equipment to improve repeatability in manufacturing
• Conduct work flow analysis, time studies and make improvements for line balancing, material handling and plant layout
• Prepare product and process reports, collect, analyze, present data trends
• Apply best practice methods from data analysis to improve quality and output, leading 8D Problem Solving Activities
• Champion activities that promote continuous improvement, researching new and innovative ways for repeatability and efficiency in manufacturing
• Update and modify Plant Layouts in Auto CAD, Solid Works
• Prepare technical documentation: Layout, Process Flow, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Parameter Sheets, Lockout/Tagout, Preventative Maintenance Plan, Recommended Spare Parts, Control Plan, Packaging Data Sheets, and PFMEA etc.
• Regular review/ audit of all processes and operator instructions for assigned programs to ensure accuracy and conformance to actual procedure
• Preparation of production equipment/ tooling specifications for RFQ process

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Diploma or University degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Preferably 3 years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing equipment installation and maintenance
• Experience in process design including safety and ergonomics requirements
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, knowledge in GD&T
• Experience in automated assembly and machine design
• Experience in Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electrical Circuits
• Experience in Programming of Fanuc, ABB robots
• Knowledge of PLC Programming (Allen Bradley)
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Solid Works)
• Knowledge and proven practice of Lean Manufacturing principles
• Detail oriented and data driven
• Must be willing to work “hands on” in the manufacturing area
• Strong willingness to learn
