Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as the Maintenance Special Project Engineer for Northwest Region Maintenance Operations (MO) program. This position helps keep people and business moving by coordinating, planning, designing, inspecting, and administering regionwide Maintenance and Facility small works contracts to support the regional highway system. This includes facilitating construction projects for MO which involves identifying needs, scoping solutions, designing, and delivering projects in support of the MO program and ensuring regional needs are met. The top candidate will be the Northwest Region MO technical program specialist for emergency, enhancement, and construction projects. The incumbent will prioritize and manage highway, bridge, and facilities projects, including design, construction, and implementation of structural and operations best management practices.
