We are seeking an experienced System Analyst and Architect to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of systems design, architecture, and analysis, and be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position will be responsible for the design and management of UDRI’s server and application infrastructure, including but not limited to Microsoft O365 GCC High, SolidWorks, Jira, MS Hypervisors, and server updates and patching. This position will lead and manage a team of 2-3 system administrators to ensure systems are fully functioning, compliant, sustainable, and are supporting the organization’s needs. Additional responsibilities include:
• Collect and analyze business requirements and design systems to meet those requirements
• Create and maintain system architecture documentation; forecast the organization’s requirements to appropriately scale the infrastructure
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure systems are developed in accordance with architecture and design
• Participate and/or lead in the design, development, and implementation of new systems, to include servers, applications, and strategic initiatives/new technologies
• Provide training and mentorship to team members
• Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and maintainable
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues; support junior team members in diagnosing tier 3 tickets and incidents through knowledge sharing and training
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to Server Administration, Server Security, and Automation
• Leverage knowledge and experience to support incident response and disaster recovery activities in compliance with the NIST SP 800-171


Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus a minimum of six years of experience; OR the combination of 10 years of IT experience and an active Security+ certification
• At least five years of experience supporting server infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of system design and architecture principles
• Experience with cloud computing technologies, such as AWS or Azure
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of and experience complying with the NIST SP 800-171
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Advanced understanding of managing Windows Server, including Domain Server roles and Group Policy
• Valid drivers license with low risk driving record
• Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• Active Security+ Certification
• Ability to promote cooperation and commitment within a diverse team to achieve goals and deliverables
• Experience managing a Microsoft Office 365 GCC High environment
