Job Description:

Are you interested in working for UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers? UDRI invites qualified candidates to apply for our Associate Test Engineer opening!
This position will assist in general lab engineering activities. Tasks to include working in a collaborative technical environment to provide high value testing and assembly for range of customers. Daily activities to include monitoring, reporting, and documenting test progress, test assembly and tear down, test stand commissioning and assembly. Ideal candidate will assist engineering staff with on site tooling/fixture modifications and designs, as well as work with vendors to procure and install tooling.
 
Minimum Qualifications
BS, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Basic mechanical aptitude
Ability to understand and follow detailed procedures
Ability to communicate and document findings professionally
Interest + experience with automotive or machine components and repairs
Technical, intern, manufacturing, or laboratory experience
US citizen
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
Experience in test environment (mechanical, exposure, vibration, etc.)
Specific or advanced experience and knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, axles, electronics
Experience analyzing experimental data
CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)
Basic servo-hydraulic function and test execution experience
