Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to serve as a Traffic Safety Technical Expert in Seattle, WA. WSDOT’s mission is to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality for people and businesses. This position supports the mission by coordinating and delivering the region safety program and identifying systemic and spot enhancements to reduce frequency and severity of crashes in a cost-effective manner. This position will coordinate with others regarding prioritization, funding, design, and implementation of projects. The top candidate will work closely with field assessment staff on solution identification and delivery and develop and execute screenings for regionwide safety improvement based on safety data.
