We are full service Surveying & Civil Engineering Services Company. The team at THD Design Group provides Engineering Design, Land Surveying, Geotechnical and Construction Management for both the public and private sectors. We provide the expertise and technology necessary to execute a project from preliminary design to construction. Our Surveying/Engineering staff has provided efficient and accurate surveys & designs for numerous projects ranging from single-family residential, large commercial & industrial developments and municipal projects.

We have an immediate opening in our Chesterfield, Missouri office.

THD Design Group is looking for an Experience Survey Drafter/Coordinator , located at our Chesterfield, MO office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Schedule/Mange survey crews.
  • Preparing and processing survey field information.
  • Perform construction staking calculations.
  • Prepare boundary surveys, ALTA Surveys, and record plats in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Prepare topographic surveys in AutoCAD Civil 3D

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

EXPERIENCE.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience drawing boundary surveys, topographic.
  • Experience with surveys, records plats, easement exhibits, As-built drawings, etc.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience performing construction staking calculations.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience performing property research
  • Preparing and processing field data.
  • Ability to read construction plans.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong computer & technical skills.
  • Above average math skills.
  • The ability to multitask on a variety of project assignments.
  • Must be detail orientated and self-motivated.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency with Trimble GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Station and Data Collectors
  • Field surveying experience is a benefit
  • LSIT is a benefit
