Job Title: Systems Engineer IV - Airworthiness Program
Position Type: 6-12 Month Contract to Hire
Location: Onsite in Hazelwood, MO
Interview Process: 1 round – virtual interview with hiring manager
Minimum Clearance: Ability to Obtain an US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. 
 
Job Description:
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
 
Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to communicate concisely in writing, verbally, one-on-one, in small groups, and to large audiences
  • Experience managing, developing, motivating and communicating responsibilities to team members
  • Ability to maintain situational awareness of the overall program and critical path sequencing
  • Ability to proactively communicate with various leadership team/s, peers and customers
 
Experience Requirements:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering
  • Experience in FAA certification, Military Handbook 516C (MIL-HDBK-516C), or EMAR21J airworthiness.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • An active U.S. Secret or active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedules
  • Experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
  • Experience leading a large project or program which required the use of project management tools & processes
  • Technical Experience in Flight & Ground Loads, Noise & Vibration, Flutter, Strength, Fatigue, Propulsion, Aerodynamics/Performance, Flying Qualities, Stability & Control, and/or Structural Dynamics strongly preferred.
  • Experience in Financial analysis, Integrated scheduling, Business development, Program management, and/or Supplier management
