Job Description:

Seeking a self-motivated, hardworking management professional to lead an exciting new developmental program. This position is suited to a candidate comfortable in a fast-paced, high demand work environment with interest in digital transformation concepts and leading a team focused on fostering, supporting, and growing collaboration across industry, academia, and government to bring digital transformation tools to use across the USAF. The successful candidate will help grow a collaborative culture in the Dayton region and across the nation to advance the long-term USAF digital transformation vision. The role will work directly with industry partners to foster a collaborative mindset to create a seamless data boundary across research, program offices, and the sustainment complex.

This position is responsible for leading a matrixed team and direct reports supporting event planning, customer outreach, tech scouting, and industry partnerships toward the digital transformation goals. Specific duties of the team include: Tracking Deliverables, Developing, Maintaining, and Executing Project Schedules, Developing, Maintaining, and Tracking Budgets, Facilitation/Coordination of Meetings, Recording Meeting Minutes, Action Items, Risk Logs, Task Tracking, Reporting, Follow-up, Report and Briefing Preparation, Liaison with Contracts and Grants Office to facilitate contracting support and guidance to clients, Compile, maintain, and document community engagement metrics.


Minimum Qualifications
• B.S. degree in a relevant discipline
• 10 years relevant experience in business or program management
• Experience with start-up industry growth
• Experience leading and driving collaboration
• Experience building and adapting operating infrastructures to support organizational growth
• Experience working in a high-tech field along side engineers and software developers
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Team player willing to put in extra effort as needed for the success of the team
• Ability to influence non-direct reports to support an institutional objective
• Ability to lead a team of direct reports
• Due to the nature of this position, U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• 2+ years experience as operations lead, executive lead, or similar at a start-up company
• 2+ years experience leading a team of direct reports
• 4+ years experience as a program manager working in the research field
• 4+ years experience in marketing role
• Experience with the Department of Defense and United States Air Force
• Experience in overseeing facility requirements / property management is desired
• Ability to connect and relate to a diverse customer base and industry leads
