Sr. Electrical Engineer
 
ExoRenal is a dynamic and innovative medical technology company specializing in the advancement of cutting-edge medical devices designed to revolutionize organ replacement. Currently, our primary focus is on the development of a next-generation, portable hemodialysis device. With a team dedicated to innovation, we have successfully created eleven (11) fully-functional prototypes and conducted a preliminary animal study to assess the device's effectiveness.
 
We are actively seeking a talented and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our team and make a significant contribution to the development of this groundbreaking medical device. As an Electrical Engineer at ExoRenal, you will have a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing the electrical systems and components of our portable hemodialysis device. Working closely with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and medical professionals, you will ensure the successful implementation of this project.
 
With offices and laboratories located in Baltimore, Maryland, and Seoul, South Korea, ExoRenal strategically positions itself to drive the development and commercialization of this innovative ultra-small hemodialysis device.

Responsibilities:
 

• Utilize proficiency in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Design, with a focus on hardware design.
• Apply strong knowledge and experience in designing MCU circuits, including CORTEX, DSP, ARM, and other relevant platforms.
• Demonstrate expertise in firmware (FW) coding and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
• Leverage prior experience in motor control and motor driver circuit design to contribute to the development process.
• Utilize familiarity with User Interface (UI), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and signal processing concepts to enhance user experience.
• Apply experience and knowledge of communication protocols, including Bluetooth, BLE, RS232, SPI, I2C, etc., to enable seamless device connectivity.
• Draw upon previous involvement in product commercialization to ensure adherence to industry standards and requirements.
• Demonstrate effective project and product management skills to contribute to the overall success of the team and the device development.

 
 
 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
• 10 years of experience in electrical engineering or a similar role.
• Minimum proficiency in communicating in Korean is a plus.
