Job Description:
The Manufacturing Process/Maintenance Engineer will support daily operations at the High Point, NC facility and report to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager. He or She shall have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to develop and maintain working relationships with key Stakeholders, and the capacity to handle and prioritize multiple complex tasks. While based in and focused on High Point, NC, this position may also support other North America sites and require up to 10% travel.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and EHSS resources for the development of minor to small capital project scopes and corresponding safety reviews, positively impacting safety, capacity, and productivity.
Manage the full capital project life cycle for assigned scopes, including equipment and installation requirements, budgets, procurement activities, construction management, and commissioning.
Support daily maintenance activities, including tracking work orders and preventative maintenance plans, coordinating third-party contractors, and procurement of spare parts and supplies.
Improve the reliability and performance of production critical assets and procedures.
Support the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives, including potential Element Ownership.
Support the site’s on-going Axalta Production Systems (APS) initiatives in the areas of yield, capacity, quality, and waste minimization.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience in Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
Required Skills

Ability to utilize data effectively for an objective assessment.
Ability to adapt to evolving priorities based on business needs.
High level of personal motivation, with a drive for ownership and accountability in performance of job responsibilities.

Preferred Skills
Experience in a PSM Covered facility.
SAP Experience
Ability to utilize AutoCAD
