Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as the Gateway Program Project Controller for the Puget Sound Gateway program (PSGP). The top candidate will exercise considerable independence of action in decision making and engineering problem solving to support the integrity of financial activities necessary for successful delivery of the $2 billion PSGP. This position supports the PSGP by supervising a team of technical experts, engineers, and technicians providing skilled engineering and business-related tasks. In addition, the incumbent will ensure accountability and transparency in use of public resources related to design, property acquisition, and construction activities. This position provides technical training, coaching, and mentoring for subordinate staff and is a representative of WSDOT with Local agencies, exterior and internal support staff, consultants, and the public.
