We have an exciting opportunity for a strong, detailed Proposal Writer to contribute to a growing team. This opportunity is with a respected, full-service engineering firm who has been around for over three decades and is experiencing significant growth. Looking to expand operations around DC and beyond, this firm needs someone with a passion for persuasive communication and critical thinking to assist in their pursuit of transportation and civil engineering government contracts.

This is a hybrid position that only requires 3 in-office days per week.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Proposal Writer opportunity include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in writing, editing, and researching proposals and other technical content
- Experience working for an engineering, construction, or architecture firm is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in market research, strategy, and identifying government/private contract opportunities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Ability to quickly comprehend and communicate on diverse subject matters in engineering, data analytics, and software development
- Research, write, and edit content and design for proposals and other materials
- Assist in the development and production of various company publications and marketing collateral

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus annual bonus opportunities.
