Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Planning Specialist 5 to serve as a Mobility and Technology Planner for the Management of Mobility Division. WSDOT’s mission is to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality for people and businesses. This position will lead and continuously improve WSDOT’s Interagency Construction Coordination Program in the Central Puget Sound Region. They will build and maintain internal and external relationships related to the coordination of future construction closures and the resulting mobility impacts. The top candidate will also manage projects that support the expansion, implementation, and adoption of Transportation Demand Management (TDM), Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), and Transportation System Management and Operations (TSMO) efforts.
