Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Public Transportation Division (PTD) is currently seeking to fill a Federal Authorization and Reporting Manager vacancy located in Olympia, WA. Reporting to the Capital Projects and Funding Manager within PTD, the Federal Authorization & Reporting Manager will manage, direct, and administer authorizations and obligations of federal funds for WSDOT, and for public transportation providers including transit agencies, nonprofits, tribes, cities, counties, and other local jurisdictions throughout the state. This position has signature authority for over $450 million per biennium in federal funds statewide and ensures WSDOT and public transportation agencies statewide meet all federal requirements/policies to receive federal funding, including Transportation Improvement Program and Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) processes. The individual in this role will manage all matters related to federal funding for Planning, Safety Oversight, Rural Transportation, Enhanced Mobility of Seniors & Individuals with Disabilities, Buses and Bus Facilities, and other programs that receive federal funds. The Federal Authorization & Reporting Manager will serve as the technical expert and signature authority for the obligation and release of federal funds for qualified projects across different public transportation providers statewide.
