JOB DESCRIPTION

 As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will research and develop activities for transparency heating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with customers to define the electrical interface of the aircraft windshield heating system.
Create the design requirements for the windshield heating system, including system design, component design and design for manufacturability.
Learn, understand and apply different heating system technologies available for AC or DC voltage-based aircraft.
Learn and understand and apply Thermal Analysis to fully defog the inside of a cockpit window and/or fully anti-ice the outside of a cockpit window during flight to FAR 25 Appendix C and Appendix O.
Assist Production Personnel on the proper use of electrical measuring equipment.
Assist Product Support personnel with electrical system questions on transparencies in service.
Assist Qualification Test Engineers with the electrical setup of windows for testing.
Interact with customers, sales, product support engineering, program management, manufacturing, quality and regulatory agencies is required.
Will actively participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process during Technical Reviews and Management Gate Reviews (including New Program Selection Meeting).
Remain technically aware of industry trends, government regulations, customer requirements and company transparencys manufacturing process requirements to personally contribute suggestions and recommendations.
Qualifications - External
Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field required.
5+ years experience in the Aerospace Industry is preferred.
Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
AutoCAD or similar required.
An understanding of DO-160 Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment is a plus.
Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling.
Experience with SolidWorks PDM or similar.
Experience with VisSim/Altair Embed.
Must be a US citizen.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VERIFICATION

  1. Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field required.
  1. 5+ years experience in the Aerospace Industry is preferred.
  1. An understanding of DO-160 Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment is a plus.
  1. AutoCAD or similar required.
  1. Experience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling. Experience with SolidWorks PDM or similar. Experience with VisSim/Altair Embed.
