Job Duties: Design, develop, debug, and operate resilient distributed systems that run across multiple clouds. Build extensible, scalable, reliable, secure and high-performance platforms to meet the Mulesoft Composer vision. Drive and deliver thin slices of functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops in an agile environment. Align platform strategy and architecture with business goals to meet the needs of Mulesoft Composer customers. Promote a metrics-based software development culture of quality, collaboration, and rapid delivery. Lead project scoping, roadmap, and architecture discussions with business stakeholders and leadership. Provide effective strategy for data collection, establish rational metrics and create a plan to analyze and report on relevant business drivers and KPIs. Utilize expertise in Software Engineering and Architecture to develop and deliver complex software programs. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of experience in the field of software engineering or five (5) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering or seven (7) years of experience in the job offered. 


A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java (5 years); (2) MySQL (5 years); (3) Microservices/Cloud Native Architecture (5 years); (4) Rest APIs (5 years); (5) Ruby on Rails (2 years); (6) Redis (2 years); (7) Kafka (2 years); (8) OAuth/Identity (2 years). Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Education, experience and criminal background checks will be conducted. Telecommuting is an option.
