Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Planning Specialist 4 - Region Tribal Liaison to provide critical strategic Regional tribal coordination, consultation, and policy development with the 13 Federally recognized Tribes in Olympic Region. This position will serve as the WSDOT point of contact for Tribal coordination and communication for all phases of planning, project development, construction, and maintenance for the Olympic Region (OR), including the fish passage program. The Region Tribal Liaison supports WSDOT’s mission by providing consistent, reliable consultation to our Tribal partners which will improve project efficiency and ensure environmental permit procurement, further supporting our mission to deliver cost effective transportation options to improve communities and economic vitality for people and businesses.
