Washington State Department of Transportation’s (WSDOT) Tumwater Design Office is currently seeking a skilled Design Team Leader to be responsible for the successful completion and delivery of highway transportation projects. This position supervises and leads assigned design staff, coordinates work activities, sets priorities, develops and updates the project schedule and budget, coordinates with specialty groups, provides direction and guidance, reviews work products for quality and completeness and communicates project status with project managers. The Design Team Leader will also perform consultant contract administration duties and implement consultant contracting procedures in accordance with State and Federal regulations. Assignments involve independent responsibility for organizing, coordinating and performing technical reviews of engineering related elements for consultant agreements.
