We have an exciting position available for a Sr. Tool Design Engineer at our state-of-the-art facility in East Hanover, NJ. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in designing high-precision progressive stamping dies for the production of complex tight-tolerance products. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Sr. Tool Design Engineer opportunity include:

- Minimum of 5 yrs. of experience designing complex progressive stamping dies
- 2-yr. technical degree required; 4-yr engineering degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered
- Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD). At a minimum, must be familiar with at least one 2-D CAD design package (eg. AutoCAD, Solid Edge, CadKey). 3-D experience preferable (eg. Solidworks, ProENGINEER)
- Understanding of ANSI/ISO drawing standards. Knowledge of GD&T dimensioning preferable
- Knowledge of Wire EDM and/or CNC machining technologies
- Understanding of commonly stamped metals such as cold-rolled steels, stainless steels, and copper-based alloys
- Knowledge of die sensors, vision inspection, or related technology is preferable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Manage the progressive die design process, overseeing the entire workflow from customer part print to detailed tool design
- Design high-precision progressive stamping dies for the production of complex products with tight tolerances and high volume
- Generate flat blanks, develop strip layouts, and create detailed drawings for components and assemblies
- Create and modify material specifications, plating specifications, heat-treat specifications, and other external material/process specifications
- Process data for use in WEDM and CNC machining, and design fixtures, gauges, and custom tooling or equipment as needed

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
