Qualifications
Rii has an immediate need for Material Testing Technicians with broad-based experience in site, utility and roadway infrastructure, industrial facilities and structures active construction site inspection. Ideal candidates will be fully versed in construction inspection and quality assurance testing with experience in contract and code compliance; documentation and reporting; quality assurance and safety programs and in-depth knowledge of installation of concrete materials, formwork, reinforcing steel, structural steel, post-tensioning tendons, backfill, utilities and dewatering wells.
Ideal skills desired include:

• Read and interpret plans, specifications and shop drawings.
• Perform field inspection of contractor operations to see that they comply with contract documents.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor and review periodical pay estimates for accuracy with contractor.
• Prepare sketches and assemble data for Field Engineers use in making changes to the project.
• Assure contractor performs according to plans and specifications.
• Keep diaries and make reports on work accomplished.
• Perform sophisticated, complicated mathematical calculations.

 
Pay Scale will be based on level of Certification:

• Degree Level – Associates or Bachelors
• ACI Field Testing Technician Grade 1 Years of Experience
• Nuclear Density Certified
• NICET – Highway and/or CoMet ICC Special Inspector Certification
• NETTCP – Soils & Aggregate Inspector Prequalification

Educational Qualifications:
High School diploma required. Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
