Job Title: Lead Senior Structural Engineer
Location: Hamilton ON
Salary: 90,000 – 150,000
Job type: Full time, Permanent.
Our client is a privately owned multidisciplinary engineering firm services firm based in, Hamilton ON with offices in Pittsburgh, PA, Auburn, AL and Detroit. Their experienced and specialized teams work globally with a diverse client base – from concept through to engineering and procurement, as well as construction and project management services. The projects are predominantly in the ICI space focusing more on Industrial and Infrastructure projects Industrial design experience in steel/concrete structures/foundations, Brownfield sites - ability to execute projects in existing facilities and Rehabilitation and reinforcement of concrete and steel structures any experience with. Storm Water Management/grading and drainage will be considered as an asset.
Lead Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities:

Leading and managing structural consulting engineering efforts
Supervise team of up to 5 to 10 designers and engineers
Be responsible for major project direction decisions.
Scope, estimate and write proposals for structural projects including interface with client.
Performing role of structural lead on a complex project supervising greater than 5 engineers and designers
Monitoring and ensuring success of multiple projects executed by engineers and designers.
Interfacing with and support other engineering disciplines and project managers
Development engineering (Basic, FEL, FEED etc.)
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Mentorship of structural staff at all levels
Industrial design experience in steel/concrete structures/foundations
Codes and standards – Canadian and American codes and standards as they apply to foundations, structures and building design.
Brownfield sites - ability to execute projects in existing facilities.
Rehabilitation and reinforcement of concrete and steel structures
Technical reports
Understanding construction practices
3D modeling and CAD drafting practices (basic knowledge)

Lead Senior Structural Engineer Qualifications:

Civil Engineering Degree, University Level
10+ years relevant working experience
P. Eng. required (CDN)
Architectural knowledge – basic knowledge as it applies to building layout
Steel Industry experience
Building code knowledge – building construction, classification and safety
Site Planning (industrial sites)
Storm Water Management/grading and drainage
US Professional Engineer designation (P.E.)
Project management
