Software Engineer (10 positions), Google LLC. Mountain View, CA: Design, develop, modify, and/or test software needed for various google projects. Duties include: review and ensure the design, review, scoping, organizing, implementation and successful delivery of software services; provide technical expertise for software development projects, including project priorities and technical resources; engage in the re-design of applications to improve maintenance cost, testing, functionality, platform independence, and performance; communicate ideas effectively and write narratives and other strategic documentation to achieve the right outcome for the team and the customer; proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and constraints and bring them to the attention of leadership, customers, and stakeholders with plans for mitigating risks before they affect project deliverables; build, organize, monitor and drive project plans and project roadmaps for software programs; oversee the support, maintenance, and upgrade of software technology, including the redesign and reimplementation of existing tools, products, and components as needed; and analyze and improve the reliability, availability and durability of software component systems. Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience involving the following: Java, SQL, and Python; Distributed Systems and architecting and designing large scale systems; data analysis, including manipulation of large data; data structures, advanced algorithms, and linear algebra; and API and platform development. Or Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience involving the following: Java, SQL, and Python; Distributed Systems and architecting and designing large scale systems; data analysis, including manipulation of large data; data structures, advanced algorithms, and linear algebra; and API and platform development. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $280,000 - $320,000. + bonus + equity + benefits.
