The Public Works Sewer Utility Division is looking for an experienced engineering project manager to oversee the development, design, and delivery of capital projects.  
The ideal candidate has a strong civil or mechanical engineering background, leadership/management experience, and has delivered extensive capital projects on schedule. Become our next positive leader for the Public Works Department!


Position Overview
This position performs a variety of professional engineering assignments in delivering County infrastructure improvements projects, requiring advanced expertise in multiple engineering related functions. The incumbent manages the design and permitting process on complex multimillion dollar projects, including various professional contracts, works in tandem with construction management, supervises, and is a mentor junior engineers and technicians.

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and six-years of engineering experience to include two years of supervisory/management experience, OR
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) and two years of supervisory/management experience.

Preferred Education, Experience or Other Qualifications

• Six years of contract administration and project management experience.
• Certified as a Project Management Professional.

This is a full-time position with a full wage range of $84,507.15 - $119,406.39 Annually, and currently offering a 10% Signing Incentive with an additional 10% Premium Pay! This position offers medical/dental/vision, life insurance, participation in the PERS Retirement Plan, 11 paid holidays with 2 additional floating holidays per year, 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave both accrued monthly.
