Job Description:

This ideal candidate will partner with Account Executives to find, contact, and follow up with prospective clients, apply engineering experience to identify market opportunities, and support potential customers with highly technical applications. Once they discover the client's needs, they will discuss our product's technological capabilities and business value with the client as well as an engineer that understands how to sell technical solutions for engineered systems. The ideal candidate should be able to clearly articulate highly technical concepts to all prospective clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responding to general inquiries and RFQs, evaluating technical requirements, prospecting opportunities, and proposing creative solutions that match customer demands
  • Sending quotations, processing POs, providing delivery updates, and managing various aspects of order processing and production operation
  • Initiating RMAs, providing after-sales support, and communicating customer concerns with quality, engineering, and management
  • Maintaining detailed customer records in the CRM system and nurturing customer relationships with routine outreach and communication
  • Managing qualification of new products, creating and maintaining sales documentation, and identifying critical product characteristics and features necessary for future revenue growth
  • Researching potential markets for new and existing products and technology, identifying opportunities, conducting competitive analysis, and developing commercialization strategies
  • Representing the company in various marketing and sales activities, such as industry trade shows, conferences, sales site visits, and customer facility audits
  • Preparing technical presentations that explain complex products and technology to current and prospective customers
  • Writing detailed development proposals, assisting in contract negotiation, and managing various aspects of custom design projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics engineering, or related field
  • 1-3 years of work experience in technical sales, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing engineering preferred.
  • High-technical aptitude, exceptional interpersonal skills, and well-established written and verbal communication skills
  • Fundamental understanding of quality management systems, manufacturing resource planning, and customer relationship management

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with Sensors and Load Cells
  • Experience with Technical Sales

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment:

Much of this job is conducted in an office setting while utilizing standard office machinery. However, job requires frequent visits to the Production area where the employee may be frequently exposed to airborne particles, mild fumes and moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the office setting is considered low. The noise level in the Production area is considered moderate.

Physical Demands:

Requires regular, predictable, attendance and punctuality. Requires prolonged periods or sitting, occasional standing, stooping, bending and reaching and repetitive hand movements.

There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to distances may be requiredMust be mentally adaptable/flexible in dealing with a variety of people/situations. Must be able to analyze cause of interpersonal conflict and resolve complex issues in a positive and professional manner. Emotional stability and personal maturity are important attributes for this position. May be required to work outside of normal business hours, weekends and holidays.
