The ideal Senior Electrical Engineer should have a strong background in lighting and power distribution within a firm, ideally doing commercial, institutional, or retail projects.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Electrical Engineer position include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina and/or Virginia
- Must be local to the Charlotte, NC area
- 5+ years of progressive technical experience and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices to analyze distribution systems and design lighting systems and buildings’ specialty systems
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
- Proficient knowledge of the NEC, NFPA 101, NFPA 72, IECC and other industry codes
- Consulting engineering experience in the commercial, institutional, and retail markets
- Proficiency with planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of engineering projects
- Develop electrical plans and specifications for medium to large-sized projects
- Perform design tasks including lighting layouts, photometrics, power distribution design, controls for refrigeration, general power design and fire alarm systems
- Perform site investigations to obtain information on existing conditions
- Perform energy models for LEED projects

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus annual bonus opportunities.
