The ideal Staff Engineer will be responsible for design and review of road construction, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems and storm drainage control projects within the city corporation limits.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Staff Engineer position include:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Civil Engineering
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience preferred
- Professional Engineer’s License preferred
- Previous experience in private and/or public sector
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Advanced understanding of principles and practices of civil engineering, GIS mapping, city ordinances, code requirements, and construction management practices
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, field topographic and hydrological data for planning and designing of projects
- Calculate costs, dimensions, profiles, grades and quantities of materials and determines project feasibility by analyzing data and applying engineering techniques and advanced mathematics
- Responsible for customer and community relations, and supervising/developing a competent staff to provide excellent engineering services

Salary: $69,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
