Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking an engineering individual to fill a Transportation Engineer 3 vacancy located in Olympia, WA. In this role, you will serve as a Traffic Design Specialist that will manage major and complex traffic engineering projects, lead, and supervise a traffic engineering team, and serve as a staff specialist in signing, illumination, work zone traffic control, traffic signals and electrical design, and intelligent transportation systems. As the Traffic Design Specialist, you will develop the scope of work, person-hour estimate, project budget, and schedule for traffic design projects, develop and review complex traffic design information, write traffic design requirements for request for proposals (RFP) and provide design and construction oversight for Design Build (DB) and Progressive Design Build (PDB) projects. Our top candidate must have a proven background in traffic design.
