Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking an experienced management professional to serve as the Director of Capital Program Development & Management (CPDM). The Director of CPDM is responsible for the development of the agency‘s biennial and multi-year capital plan, in addition to all program management activities for the highway construction budget programs. The capital plan is primarily informed by legislative direction while influenced by WSDOT executive policy as well as agency budget requests and long-range planning documents. The Director of CPDM coordinates and aligns the development of capital investments (prioritization and programming) across divisions and through the budget development (current law and new development) and Asset Management processes. Reporting to the Principal Financial Officer, this vital role is for tracking and measuring capital project delivery and other special requests primarily focused on the internal and external communication about program delivery. Effective communication skills and strong collaboration skills are highly sought competencies in our venture to fill this critical role.
