Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to serve as a technical and regulatory specialist in the field of hydraulics. As the Senior Hydraulic Engineer, you will provide hydraulic engineering analysis and support to construction and maintenance staff by evaluating the condition and operation of existing hydraulic and stormwater facilities, assess impacts and/or damage to highway drainage facilities and adjacent properties, and make recommendations on modifications or repairs. In this role, you will also provide hydraulic related reports, analysis, and services required to support compliance with environmental regulations including the Clean Water Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Washington State Hydraulic Code, State Environmental Policy Act, National Pollution Elimination System, and WSDOT policies and guidance.
