NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers and key field personnel for assigned National Accounts.
  • Conduct strategic account reviews on a regular basis to review service needs and usage trends.
  • Identify growth opportunities for each National Account and incorporate into an annual mutual business plan.
  • Analyze purchase history and develop forecasts to ensure sufficient inventory especially for seasonal products.
  • Review National Account on-hand inventory to ensure that Western products are moving productively through
  • distributor warehouses.
  • Manage and expand private label product opportunities with National Accounts.
  • Conduct product and sales training for assigned accounts including inside/outside selling teams.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree required in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field; An MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of industrial sales experience
  • 5+ years of National Account Manager experience.
  • The successful candidate should come from some type of Industrial Manufacturing / Distribution environment.
  • Account penetration through lead salespeople.
  • Identify and capture growth opportunities with large national customers.
  • Channel sales through wholesalers, large national distributors and retailers.
  • Executive-level concentrated selling to key decision makers.
  • Communicate effectively across multiple levels of decision makers.
