The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has an exciting career opportunity for a Research Industrial Hygienist within the Division of Science Integration (DSI) located in Cincinnati, OH. DSI conducts research, synthesizes scientific information, creates policy, technical, and educational documents, and develops and disseminates targeted occupational safety and health information.

As a Research Industrial Hygienist, you will:

  • Conduct industrial hygiene scientific studies of various emerging public health issues and problems as it relates to environmental conditions that adversely affect the health and safety of people in the workplace.
  • Provide technical guidance to the professionals and technical assistants assigned to the project area.
  • Analyze occupational health data, report findings and provide recommendations
  • Author or coauthor manuscripts or technical reports reflecting the results of the research and arranges for publication of such documents after approval by appropriate reviewing officials.
