Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a motivated individual with strong technical skills to fill the role of Office Engineer for a Project Engineering Office located in Mount Vernon, WA.  This position will supervise and manage the construction administration activities, contract documentation, and compilation of construction project records. 
 
This role is responsible for leading a team that prepares contractor payments and processes contract administration documents for all assigned projects. Providing direct supervision and evaluation of up to 8 engineers and technicians, this position draws from existing knowledge, skills, and experience to quickly and accurately review, analyze, and evaluate contract documents for accuracy and compliance with standards and requirements. This position is also the system administrator within the Project Office for Unifier.
 
The Office Engineer communicates with others inside and outside the organization to move construction projects toward successful completion.
