Job Description:

This entry level position will be responsible for working, as part of a diverse and skilled technical team, to write and test software in high level languages and to develop and test positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) algorithms from concept to implementation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or other relevant technical field
- Demonstrated academic experience developing software using C++ or Python
- Demonstrated academic experience with fundamental PNT principles for vision aided navigation research
- Due to the nature of this position, US. Citizenship is required
- Eligibility to obtain a United States SECRET clearance (or higher) is required for ongoing employment in this position

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- Master's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant technical field
- Demonstrated experience with conducting fundamental, basic research and development and applying concepts in a research setting
- Familiarity with processing hyperspectral imagery
- Familiarity with developing neural networks for algorithm development to enhance vision aided navigation research
- Demonstrated experience working in Linux environments
- Demonstrated, effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a hybrid work environment
- Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance


Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
