Our client, a leading Systems Integrator focused on battlefield technologies, is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join their team in Chantilly, VA. As a company, they are committed to reducing risk and cost to the warfighter by enabling battlefield intelligence at the edge, increasing soldier lethality, and allowing smaller teams to control larger areas.

The ideal candidate for this role should have 5+ years of professional software development experience, be proficient in Java and/or Angular/Typescript, have a working knowledge of basic Linux system administration, and be skilled in verbal, written, and oral communication. They should also have experience with application architecture and design patterns, knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or relative experience)
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Java and/or Angular/Typescript
- Application architecture and design patterns
- Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, building processes, testing, and operations
- Working knowledge of basic Linux system administration, basic Android development, and Linux Cloud-init
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Skilled in verbal, written, and oral communication
- Experience with Chef, Puppet, mesh networking, and 4G/LTE
- Security+ and Network+ certifications preferred

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

Salary: The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000, commensurate with experience.
