Our client, a leading provider of clean and affordable energy solutions, is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join their team in Grass Valley, CA or work remotely. The ideal candidate for this position will have a BS in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, with strong knowledge of microgrid components and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. They should also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients. A genuine passion for renewable energy and a willingness to mentor less experienced Project Engineers is a must. As a Sr. Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading project development, design, and deliverable creation for multiple projects, and externally coordinating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

- BS in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of microgrid components such as inverters, battery energy storage systems, generators, and solar PV systems
- Ability to effectively manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously, often within an aggressive schedule
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with solar, inverter, battery, and generator technologies from 15-250kW
- Proficient in technical drawing, with 3+ years of AutoCAD experience
- Experience using HOMER and PVSyst, with 2+ years of experience preferred
- Construction experience is a plus
- Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer License is a plus
- Familiar with Site Development Design Process, including boundaries, parcel maps, storm water permitting, and AHJs
- Ability to perform data analysis in Microsoft Excel and other platforms
- Estimate grading and backfill quantities is a plus

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

Salary: $95,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.

This position can be performed remotely or at the company HQ in Grass Valley, CA, with up to two weeks of travel required per quarter. Remote employees must visit the Grass Valley HQ at least once every quarter.
