Job Description:
Opportunity to join a Global Chemical leader in Eastern NC as an Instrumentation /Controls Engineer.
Responsibilities include:
-Design/supervise operation maintenance of electrical and mechanical instruments and control equipment necessary for the safe and efficient operation.
-Assist in programming and making program modifications for computer control systems (includes: Honeywell, Rockwell, Drive systems.…)
-Write specifications-Train personnel-Assist with failure investigations-Function as a technical adviser and/or a team member to Chemical Plants and Maintenance I/E Teams-Inspect projects, plants, and equipment.
Education & Experience:
-BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with two years of control experience in a chemical plant.
-Working knowledge and programming experience with Wonderware, Honeywell, Rockwell, Control Systems, Programable Logic Controls, and additional software.
-Solid experience in design, installation and startup of electrical systems and instrumentation/ controls interface is essential.
-Knowledge of test procedures and test equipment, an understanding of the electrical distribution system, motors, infra-red scanning, air conditioning, and electronics.
