Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) HQ Traffic Operations is currently seeking an experienced professional to serve as the Transportation Engineer 4 in Olympia, WA. This position will manage the WSDOT Outdoor Advertising Control (OAC) program and assist with administration of the Motorist Information Sign (MIS) program. As the program manager, this position is the statewide expert having knowledge on OAC and MIS programs, their laws, regulations, and requirements. The incumbent must be able to interpret and explain federal and state laws and regulations regarding outdoor advertising and motorist information signing. The incumbent will interact significantly with WSDOT HQ and Region staff, other state agencies, local governments, businesses, and citizens of Washington State while administering these key programs. Your work will have a direct impact in enhancing the travel experience for all modes of transportation within the vast infrastructure network of Washington State.
