Our client, a multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Franklin, TN, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer/Engineering Lead to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, at least 7 years of experience in electrical design for construction in industrial facilities, and demonstrated experience leading electrical engineering activities and managing personnel. The candidate must also have a Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or be on track to obtain one.

Responsibilities:

* Work in multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality designs within budget and timelines
* Provide electrical system solutions to ensure successful projects
* Develop project documentation and drawings design packages, including: Power System One-Lines, Motor Control Circuits, Contractor Scope of Work Packages, Equipment Specifications
* Participate in process, equipment and control design reviews

Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited institution
* Minimum 7 years in electrical design for construction in industrial facilities with demonstrated experience leading electrical engineering activities and managing personnel
* Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or on track to obtain
* Extensive knowledge of: Electrical Constructions Standards (National Electrical Code), Power Equipment Design (Switchgear, Switchboards, Transformers), Power System Models and Studies using commercial software (ETAP, SKM, etc.), Commercial and Industrial MEP Design, Motor Controls and VFDs - Arc Flash Energy Reduction
* 15-25% intermittent travel

This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and great benefits!

Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000, commensurate with experience. Our client also offers an excellent benefits package.
