Job Description:

Are you interested in working for UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers? Our Applied Mechanics division at UDRI invites qualified candidates to apply for our Research Engineer opening!

This is for an onsite position at Robins AFB, GA. The primary responsibility of the position is to provide aircraft structural fatigue and repair engineering expertise to the F-15 Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) team.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline, from an ABET institution
Five years experience in aircraft structural fatigue and repair
Effective written and verbal communication skills
US Citizen
Ability to obtain security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Masters degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline, from an ABET institution
USAF or Navy aircraft experience
Experience with CAD (Solidworks, Nx)
Experience with StressCheck software
Experience with AFGROW software
Experience working with a diverse, cross-functional engineering team and program management staff

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
