Our client, an owner's rep for school districts in California, is looking for a Project Manager to join their team. With 35 years of experience in the industry and four locations across the state, our client is a highly respected company that values their employees and strives to create a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone with an engineering, construction, or architecture background, who has led teams of PMs and has experience with DSA. Although school experience is a huge plus, it is not necessary as our client will provide training on school needs. This candidate will work in the office from Monday to Friday. Although there will be weekly travel, it will be day travel, and the company will cover all costs if there is ever a need for overnight travel.

Responsibilities:

* Manage project staff and ensure they have the necessary resources to complete their tasks effectively
* Review proposed work for impacts on surrounding residents, existing school programs, and school operations
* Review project design drawings for constructability issues, value engineering, change orders, and overall project progress
* Monitor construction budget and schedule relative to progress and overall program for adherence to plan
* Oversee and direct the preparation and compliance of necessary project approvals with relevant government agencies
* Coordinate with Division of State Architect (DSA) representatives and other State agencies
* Oversee the responsibilities of the Design and Construction Team for completion of obligations under the DSA Closeout and Certification Process

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
* At least 5 years of experience in construction project management
* Recent experience in California K-12 projects
* Knowledge of construction management principles, practices, and techniques
* Knowledge of relevant government regulations and approval processes
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and professionals involved in the project
* Proficiency in project management software and tools

Salary & Benefits:

* Our client is offering a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience
* The benefits package includes health coverage for employees, 3-4 weeks of PTO, 5 sick days, and holidays. Additionally, the company offers a 401k (no match), and annual bonus potential
* Our client is willing to offer relocation assistance for the right candidate, up to $5,000
